Simply put, every woman should have many vintage "little black dresses" in her closet. But, if you're like me and live in a small (older) house or apartment with very limited closet space, then you may be forced to own just one LBD that can work for various occasions.
I think this particular LBD (by 1950s/60s designer Jonny Herbert) has so many amazing qualities that make it the perfect LBD... simultaneously simple and complex, sleek and voluminous, classic and flirty. It can be dressed up with pearls and heels or down with gold chains and flats.
